Terms of Service

TEST draft. Not yet reviewed by a lawyer.

Last updated: October 24, 2026. Version: 2026-10-24-v01-test.

1. Who we are

Editing Service is a short-form video editing service run by Puggers Video Production Ltd., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between us and you, the business or person who buys a plan or applies for a sample (“you”). By ticking the box at checkout or submitting an application, you agree to them.

If anything here isn’t clear, write to david@puggersvideoproduction.com before you buy. We’d rather answer a question than surprise you later.

2. What we do

We turn the footage you upload into finished short-form videos (“shorts”) for social platforms, edited in the look you approve during onboarding. Each plan includes captions, one consolidated revision round per short and delivery on your fixed delivery day each week (Momentum and Authority can choose two delivery days).

The limits that keep delivery reliable:

  • Raw footage: up to 20 minutes per short.

  • Finished shorts: 30 to 90 seconds each, in one vertical format.

  • One look per client. Your look is locked once you approve it in onboarding; a new look is a new setup.

  • One consolidated revision round per short (section 7).

A request outside these limits becomes a quote, not part of your plan.

3. Free samples

Prospects can apply for one free 20-second sample made from their own footage (a clip of up to 3 minutes). Applying doesn’t guarantee a sample. We review each application within one business day, and we only make a sample once we’ve accepted the application and can open the footage. We make a limited number each week, so an accepted application may be booked into the next open week.

A sample creates no obligation for either of us. You may post your sample. Section 11 explains how we may show it.

4. Plans, prices and billing

Plans. Starter (4 shorts a month), Momentum (8) and Authority (16). Prices are shown in Canadian or US dollars at checkout, plus applicable sales tax (GST or HST for clients in Canada). The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

Term. A plan starts with a 3-month term, billed monthly at the term rate. There’s no setup fee on a term. A plan started month to month, without a term, has a one-time setup fee of CAD 350 (USD 250).

After the term. When your term ends, your plan continues month to month at the month-to-month rate unless you agree in writing to a new term of 3 to 12 months, which keeps the term rate. We’ll email you 14 days before your term ends with both options. You never pay the setup fee again.

Month to month. Billed monthly in advance until you cancel. You can cancel online at any time through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period after 30 days’ notice, and you won’t be charged again after that.

Cancelling during a term. A term is a commitment to three monthly payments. You can cancel online at any time, and your plan then ends when the term ends instead of continuing month to month. Section 10 and the Refund and Guarantee Policy cover your first payment, and consumer rights under section 18 always apply.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we’ll tell you and keep editing for 7 days while you sort it. After that we pause new edits until the payment goes through.

Price changes. Prices are fixed for the length of a term. For month-to-month plans we give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change.

Posting add-on. Optional, billed monthly with your plan and cancellable at the end of any billing month (section 9).

5. Credits

Each plan gives you a number of credits each month: one credit is one short. A credit is used when the first preview of that short is delivered to you; revisions of the same short don’t use another credit.

Unused credits carry over for one month inside your term, then expire. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred. If we’re the reason a short isn’t delivered (not missing or unusable footage), that credit doesn’t expire because of our delay.

6. Uploading footage

Upload your footage through the link or form we give you, by 3 business days before your delivery day, for it to be edited for that day. Footage arriving later moves to the next delivery day.

We check every upload automatically for length, audio and format. If we can’t open a file or it breaks a limit, we’ll tell you why and the clock starts again when we receive usable footage.

You’re responsible for having the rights to everything you upload (section 12).

7. Review, revisions and approval

Preview. Each short arrives as a private, watermarked preview link with downloads turned off. Every short is checked by a person before you see it.

Approve. When you approve a short, its full-quality download opens.

Revise. You get one consolidated revision round per short: send all your notes for that short together. We deliver the revised version on your next delivery day. The revised version is final unless we missed something in your original notes. Further changes are a new short and use a credit.

Questions. If you ask a question about a preview, the review clock pauses until we’ve answered.

Approval when you don’t reply. We send a reminder 4 days after a preview arrives. If we haven’t heard from you 7 days after the preview, we mark the short approved and open its download. Opening an email or a link never counts as approving.

8. Delivery days and delays

Your delivery day (or days) is set during onboarding and appears in your calendar. Shorts arrive by the end of that day, in your time zone.

If we can’t deliver on your delivery day, we’ll tell you before the end of that day with the reason and the new date. Delivery depends on footage that meets section 6 and on outside services working (for example, file hosting or payment providers). We’re not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.

9. Posting add-on

If you add posting, we write the post text in your voice and schedule each approved short on your delivery day to up to three of your accounts through our scheduling workspace. You connect your accounts yourself; we never ask for or hold your passwords. You approve each post before it goes live. You stay responsible for your accounts and what’s published on them, and we don’t guarantee views, reach or results.

10. Money-back guarantee and refunds

Your first payment is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee, explained in full in our Refund and Guarantee Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Ownership and licences

Your footage and brand. You keep all rights in the footage, voice, likeness, logos and other material you give us. You give us a licence to use it only to make, review and deliver your shorts and run your account.

Finished shorts. Once paid for, the finished shorts are yours to use however you like, including in paid ads, subject to the music and stock rules below.

Music, stock and fonts. Music, sound effects and stock footage in your shorts are licensed through our subscriptions and cleared for publishing the finished short, including paid advertising. They’re delivered inside the finished video only: you may not extract them or reuse them in other projects. If you plan to hold a short back for a long time before publishing, tell us and we’ll confirm the licence covers it. Fonts and assets from your brand kit are used under your own licence.

Project files. We deliver finished videos, not editing project files, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Portfolio. We may show your shorts and samples in our portfolio, website and marketing, with your name or brand. You can opt out at any time by emailing david@puggersvideoproduction.com; we’ll remove them from anything we control within 30 days. We never show footage of a guest or third party without their permission.

12. Your responsibilities

You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything you upload, that everyone who appears or speaks in your footage has agreed to it being edited and published, and that your content is lawful. You won’t ask us to make content that is defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, infringes someone else’s rights or misleads people about a product or health claim. We may decline or stop work on any content that breaks this section.

13. How we work: software, AI and people

We use editing software and automation, including AI tools, to transcribe, organise and assemble your edits. A person reviews every short before you see it. Our team and trusted contractors may work on your shorts under confidentiality obligations. Our Privacy Policy lists the services that process your data.

14. Confidentiality

We keep your unpublished footage, plans and business information confidential and use them only to provide the service, except where the law requires otherwise or you’ve agreed to portfolio use under section 11.

15. Liability

We’ll do the work with reasonable care and skill. We don’t guarantee views, followers, sales or any platform result. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

16. Suspending or ending the service

We may pause or end your plan if a payment stays unpaid after the 7-day grace period, or if you break section 12. If we end your plan for another reason, we’ll refund any unused, prepaid part of the current billing period.

17. When your plan ends

After your last billing period, anything already in progress is delivered as normal. Your approved downloads stay open for 30 days. Thirty days after your plan ends we delete your raw footage, project files and finished shorts from our systems, as our Privacy Policy explains. Anything you’ve downloaded is yours to keep.

18. Consumer rights where you live

Most of our clients buy for their business. If you buy as an individual for personal use, the consumer laws where you live may give you extra rights, and nothing in these terms takes them away. In particular:

  • Canada: British Columbia’s rules for distance and continuing-services contracts, including the right to cancel and receive a prorated refund in the situations they describe, and the equivalent rules in your province.

  • United States: we show the renewal terms clearly before you pay, ask for your separate agreement to them, confirm them by email afterwards and let you cancel online at any time, as state automatic-renewal laws (such as California’s) and the federal Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act require.

  • European Union and United Kingdom: you have 14 days from purchase to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. Because you can ask us to start editing straight away, at checkout you request that we begin within that period; if you then withdraw, you pay only for shorts already delivered, and you lose the right to withdraw for any short we’ve fully delivered at your request. Our 14-day money-back guarantee (section 10) is usually more generous than this, and you can use whichever suits you.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll email you at least 30 days before a change that affects an active plan, and the version you agreed to at checkout applies until the end of your current term.

20. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If there’s a dispute, we’ll first try to resolve it by talking; if that doesn’t work, the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to go to your own courts.
